So yes, my serious post on said film and all, but over on ILX a (perfectly justifiable) claim that Sweeney Todd is a better movie overall led my mind to wandering if Daniel Plainview’s story had been told by Mr. Sondheim:

Sometimes you just want something hearty

And that you didn’t have to cook yourself. So, from Avanti the other night for Valentine’s (for myself!) — a vegetarian tamale cobbler, manchego to go with the crackers, a good German ale and a raspberry cupcake. Couldn’t go wrong.
